Custom Gobos:

Gobos are used in many lighting projects these days, and although there are hundreds of stock steel and glass gobos  sometimes nothing but a custom gobo will do.  Designlab is here to help you bring your idea to light.   We can provide your unique design in either steel or glass, for ellipsoidal fixtures, moving lights, and some architectural units.  Our knowledgable staff will work directly with you, from beginning to end, to select the appropriate gobo for your needs.

Before you call there are a few questions you should consider:

1)  What type and brand of fixture do I have or do I want to rent?  

These first questions are important because some fixture styles and brands require special size gobos.

2)  Do I want Stainless Steel or Glass?

Stainless Steel is more affordable but eventually will need to be replaced.

Stainless Steel is also limited to no color.

Glass gobos last until the day you break them and can be produced in Black and White or Photo quality color. 

3)  Do I have my art work or do I need it to be produced?

For an additional charge Designlab will produce artwork from your specifications.

4)  How soon do I need to have the gobo in hand?

Gobos take time to create and depending on the type it could take up to 5 days.  If time is limited then we can turn it around in a rush for an additional charge.
